Body Scan

Movement Headquarters Ballet Company presents Body Scan This dynamic new pas de deux explores the intersection of classical ballet and contemporary movement while challenging our dancer's physicality and movement style.

Speaking about his newest choreography for MHQ, Artistic Director Barry Kerollis shares, "While we are on the verge of stepping back onstage, many of our dancers have spent the last year maintaining their instruments in the confinement of their homes.

In Body Scan, I sought to reexamine and assess exactly how dancer's bodies work in larger spaces while also acknowledging what has been learned during this unique period of self care. I hope you feel the physical energy and excitement our dancers felt as they finally moved through space without worrying about knocking over their television or hitting their art work off the walls!"
